Open Joint Stock Company “Svetlogorsk Pulp and Cardboard Mill” began its history as an enterprise - a manufacturer of imported paper and cardboard into corrugated cardboard and corrugated boxes. In 1966 the first corrugated cardboard and boxes production facility was put into operation using a corrugating unit. During the next three decades the enterprise was actively developing and became a full cycle enterprise of wood raw materials processing and the largest enterprise of pulp and paper industry of the Republic of Belarus, the main products of which were corrugated cardboard and containers made of it. One of the brightest and most significant events in the history of OJSC “Svetlogorsk PCM” and the entire pulp and paper industry of the Republic of Belarus was the completion in January 2020 of the project for the construction of a plant for the production of bleached sulphate pulp with a capacity of 400 thousand tons per year. With an import-substituting and export-oriented product, the industry has prospects for further development - the construction of a workshop for the production of sack kraft paper with a capacity of 160 thousand tons per year. By order of the concern "Bellesbumprom" № 224 of 27.12.2011 the open joint-stock company "Paper Mill "Krasnaya Zvezda" was reorganized in the form of a merger with OJSC "Svetlogorskiy CCK" The enterprise implemented investment projects on technical re-equipment, modernization of fixed production assets, increase in the volume of output, improvement of product quality and economic efficiency of the factory. The modernization allowed the enterprise to establish production of products of European quality level with high added value.
